“BEAR”
This is Scription’s first full cast piece and it is set at a dinner party where a boys’ club seeks to pursue/objectify the women at the function only for the ladies to become outraged and decide to take matters into their own hands. The dinner is set to Bella Ciao and the duet following the party is danced to La Vie En Rose. Scription debuted this dance live at the Rooted Space Common Ground Showcase in late April and is in process to record the work for a dance film coming mid-2026.
“New Age Genesis”
This solo is the story of the big bang told from the perspective of the universe if it had manifested itself in the moments leading up to the great creation. The piece explores themes of space, time, ever-expansive loneliness, and creation as an act of necessity rather than happen chance.
it was chosen to be perfomed as a part of Dance City Festival’s Choreographers Showcase in both Chicago and New York City in August of 2026 and will be the opening piece of our first evening length performance at the end of this year. This has been a collaborative process between my dancer, ryan Dick, my sound editor, Justin Larabee, the composer of the music, Jourdain Brown, and i.
“Familiar Premonition”
This group piece was made exlporing the nuclear apocalypse. It was choreographed in 2024 to be performed by Venetia Stifler and Concert Dance Inc. It is in process to be reworked for Scription Dance Theatre’s first annual show in late 2026.
